The Continuing Cosmetology Camp at Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES provides students with the opportunity to complete the required 1,000 hours of cosmetology training necessary for the New York State Board licensure examination. Whether you need to make up missing hours or finish your cosmetology education, our hands-on programs at Ormsby Educational Center and Hewes Educational Center offer a structured learning environment to help you achieve your goals.

- Current seniors in cosmetology programs needing additional hours.
- Former cosmetology students seeking to complete the 1,000-hour requirement with verified transcripts.
- Students needing to make up hours to qualify for the New York State Board licensure examination.
Program Details
π Ormsby Educational Center
- Location: 1010 Center St., East Aurora, NY
- Dates: August 2025 (specific dates TBD)
- Time: 8:00 AM β 2:00 PM
- Tuition: $600
- Student Requirements: Students must bring their own tools, including cutting shears, Marcel iron (3/4 barrel), blow dryer, heat-resistant tail comb, uniform jacket/apron, and a mannequin with 100% human hair (8β length from nape).
π Hewes Educational Center
- Location: 2615 N. Maple Ave., Ashville, NY
- Dates: July 7 β July 18
- Time: 8:00 AM β 2:00 PM
- Tuition: $600
- Student Requirements: Students must wear school-appropriate clothing and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. Pre-purchased mannequins with 100% human hair (8β hanging length from the nape) are required. All additional tools, supplies, and smocks will be provided by Hewes.
