
Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES will again host its annual Summer Enrichment program at the Ormsby Educational Center.
The weeklong event is open to students entering grades 6-9. It will run Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.
Students will rotate between Culinary, Construction/Makerspace, and STEAM classrooms at Ormsby.
In Culinary, students will be introduced to the world of cooking by exploring basic culinary techniques, kitchen safety, and the art of crafting delicious dishes. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students will get hands-on experience in the kitchen and develop teamwork and communication skills.
In Construction/Makerspace, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of construction by exploring the world of building and design through interactive projects and workshops. Participants will learn basic construction techniques, safety protocols, and architectural design principles.
In STEAM, students will participate in various hands-on activities, experiments, and projects related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Through workshops, students will learn cutting-edge concepts in robotics, coding, scientific experimentation, and artistic expression.
