Orchard Park High School recently hosted its annual Bald For Bucks fundraiser. Run by the school’s Leadership Skills Class under the direction of Barbara Downs and Kristen Casto, the event raised $10,256 this year.

🐤Hopping into Easter!🐇
Students in the Multi-Occupational Foundations class at the Ormsby Educational Center recently made old-fashioned sugar eggs as part of their Culinary Unit.
According to instructor Kathy Sitarek, the unit includes reading recipes, measuring ingredients, and making healthy meal options, along with some fun desserts.
For their sugar eggs, students used molds to shape the sugar and then decorated them with royal icing.
“To add a special surprise, a bunny rabbit from the Small Animal Science program visited and hid their creative Easter eggs in baskets,” Sitarek said.

Students at WNY P-TECH in Dunkirk recently completed a schoolwide project that has added some artistic flair to the halls.
Modeled after the work of artist Mark Jenkins, students in art teacher Shelli Romero’s class have made “Human Packing Tape Installation Sculptures.” Each figure is made of crinkled paper wrapped in tape and plastic wrap.
