Five students at CAM P-TECH in Springville were inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. Family and friends gathered on April 24 for the induction ceremony.
New inductees included Declan Ahrens (Electrical) of Springville, Knight Bulera (Computer Information Systems) of Springville, Rachael Fix (Electrical) of Orchard Park, Reed Hoffman (Electrical) of Holland, and Jeramie Klahn (Computer Information Systems) of Springville.
CAM P-TECH Principal Heather Banks recognized the five students, who she said “exemplified outstanding achievements in their academics” while also showing a commitment to the school and community.
“I encourage each of you to reflect on the values that the National Honor Society represents,” Banks said. “As you continue your journey through high school and beyond, remember that leadership is about using your talents to inspire others and making a positive impact in the world around you.”
Jason Fitzner, National Honor Society advisor at CAM P-TECH, said Ahrens, Bulera, Fix, Hoffman, and Klahn have displayed the four pillars of the prestigious organization: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.
“This year, inductees have served as role models for other students,” Fitzner said. “In addition to the strong academic records, which establish the eligibility for membership, our chapter inductees are leaders in many student organizations and serve our school and community.”
During the candle lighting ceremony, Ahrens represented Scholarship; Hoffman represented Service; Bulera represented Leadership; and Fix and Klahn represented Character.
After being sworn in, each student received their National Honor Society pin from a parent or relative.
Afterward, Banks thanked each family for supporting the new inductees as well as the school faculty, “who continue to inspire and guide these remarkable students.”
She added, “To our inductees, may you continue to strive for excellence and make a lasting impact in your school and community.”
